Our Mission
To bring Sri Lanka's unique core cultures, values, universal knowledge and literary values to life, equipped with modern information and communication approaches, to achieve national sustainable development goals, to create an educated and intelligent urban community for effective participation in urban development.

- Offering first preference to the client readership.
- Leveraging modern technology to provide efficient service in a creative and streamlined work environment
- Identifying and providing service needs to enhance social participation.
- Supporting the development of readers' attitudes and skills through the implementation of projects and programs with artistic, aesthetic and literary value
- Identifying current information needs and task areas of clients and planning and implementing actions for them.

Purposes:
• Contribute to social development by introducing, promoting, guiding and familiarizing information sources to meet people's information and educational learning needs.• Supporting the development of self-study skills, providing opportunities for the same, developing social participation, nurturing them with knowledge appropriate to the current needs of the community and providing opportunities to solve problems.
• To provide support to the country's national vision by encouraging, motivating and guiding the people of Minuwangoda by implementing programs of social, economic and cultural value.• To make the library a first-class e-library to provide more effective services to the people of the area using information communication.
Opening hours
• The library is open for readers daily from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm on public holidays (including Poya days). Infrastructure is provided for all services.
